Alan Johnson
VT Director
Alan has over 20 years experience in the lift industry, having started as a lift installer with Otis he progressed to become a Field Test Engineer and then a Chief Tester and Commissioning Engineer. His most recent role before joining Vercon was as a Sales Manager for Schindler. Alan’s commitment to deliver positive project outcomes for his clients frames his approach to every task he undertakes.
Mark Taylor BEng MSc CEng MIET MCIBSE MIEI
Managing Director
Mark joined Caldwell in 1988 and became Managing Director of the company in 2004. It was Mark's drive and passion to succeed that enabled the Caldwell group to expand, diversify and specialise across multiple technical disciplines. It was his vision and encouragement that catalysed Paul to build the Vercon brand and establish it as an industry leader. Mark continues to support both the ongoing development and day to day operation of Vercon.
Marc Burns BEng (Hons) MIET
Director
Marc began his employment at Caldwell after graduating from Queen’s University Belfast in 2002. He was appointed as an Associate in 2008, Associate Director in 2013 and Director in 2016. His particular speciality is in the hospitality and commercial office sectors. Recent projects include the extension of the listed Merchant Hotel in Belfast, a 300 bedroom Hampton by Hilton in London and the conversion of a former magistrate’s courthouse into a 5 star hotel in Shoreditch.
Glenn Lindsay MEng MIET
Glenn joined Caldwell Consulting in October 2018 after completing a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Ulster University. In addition to his role as a Services Engineer he has taken a keen interest in the lift industry providing tender specifications for several schemes along with traffic analysis and reports. Recent projects include Bedford Square Phase 2, a 210,000 sq ft development of Grade A office space in Belfast City Centre.
