Construction of c. 200 000 sq ft of new Grade A office space over two buildings, connected by a double height link bridge. The site is situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s “Old Town” and forms part of a World Heritage zone.
Replacing the old carpark which occupied the site previously, these offices form the first part of the second phase of the New Waverley Development. Sitting just below Calton Hill and a stone’s throw from the famous Royal Mile the offices occupy an ideal position in a bustling destination with excellent connectivity.
The project included eight MRL units and two goods lifts, with Vercon working to provide a suitable solution through traffic analysis, planning advice and the creation of a tender specification.
