Taxi House, London

Taxi House is project involves a mixed-use development on a canal-side site, featuring 332 serviced accommodation rooms, commercial and retail space, and an upgraded structure replacing the Westminster Cleansing Depot. Spanning 2 to 12 storeys, the development will include amenities such as a well-being centre, swimming pool, and cinema. Taxi House will transform the former London Taxi Drivers’ Association headquarters on Woodfield Road into a waterside destination on the Grand Union Canal, offering 15,000 sq ft of workspace, community performance space, and a new public realm extending from the site entrance to the waterfront.

Vercon was tasked with providing dynamic traffic analysis and planning advice, as well as producing a specification document for tender. In collaboration with top lift suppliers, Vercon developed a comprehensive lift package consisting of 9 passenger/goods lifts, which have more than met the needs and requirements of the site.
