Upper Duke Street, Liverpool

The project involves constructing a 420-unit purpose-built student accommodation over 7 storeys, featuring communal spaces like a recording studio, half basketball court, fitness studio, library, and zero waste shop. Located on the vacant Hondo supermarket site on Upper Duke Street in Liverpool’s ‘Knowledge Quarter,’ adjacent to the Ropewalks Conservation Area and Liverpool Cathedral, the development will include two private courtyards, a private dining area, outdoor bar, performance stage, and a serene space for yoga, meditation, and study.

Vercon was tasked with providing dynamic traffic analysis and planning advice, as well as producing a specification document for tender. In collaboration with top lift suppliers, Vercon developed a comprehensive lift package consisting of 3 passenger/goods lifts, which have more than met the needs and requirements of the site.
